 | Child Protection Policy |
Our goal is to allow families to worship and/or serve in other
areas of Grace Church confident that their children are in a safe,
secure, and nurturing environment. Therefore we implemented a
Child Protection Policy in 1997. Its intent is twofold: 1) to
provide safeguards to help reduce the likelihood of any child
or youth from becoming victims of child sexual abuse and 2) to
protect our volunteers and church from being falsely accused of
abuse.
All workers
- are screened through the use of reference checks and criminal
background checks
- are required to attend Child Protection Program Training
- are required to be in compliance with the current policies
of our Child Protection Program in order to provide a safe and
secure environment for the children.
Due to the nature of this policy, we make every possible attempt
to have two trained volunteers supervising children at all times.
Doors have glass windows to allow for visibility of workers and
children at all times.
